varied path of links.

Why are some of my links coming up under 'Piss-square' whilst others more correctly point only to the page in question?

Did you enable subsections by any chance?

Vaska A / 2014-04-01 22:14:05

I think maybe you renamed the projects section to piss square at one point.

tolstoy / 2014-04-02 06:40:24

Yes I did, before I worked out what I was doing. Does that mean I should reload the content with the 'square' to lose it?

Vaska A / 2014-04-02 07:07:14

"reload with the 'square'?"

I'm not sure what the means. You could, after you've changed the section folder name, simply unpublish and republish the exhibits and their url's will have a new path.

Indexhibit does not do this automatically by design - in this case it's working against what you want but in many cases this can be an asset. And, republishing things is really easy...

tolstoy / 2014-04-02 07:08:41

That's what I meant republish. Sorry, I'm not up with the lingo.

tolstoy / 2014-04-02 07:09:34

I thought I'd have to delete the the content and reupload.

Vaska A / 2014-04-02 07:10:19

No, don't delete...not necessary...

tolstoy / 2014-04-02 07:17:17

Sorted. Easy one that.

tolstoy / 2014-04-02 07:47:37

One last point. Do I have to add a title in the section path rather than just leave it as /? I looks cleaner with just the exhibit title.

Vaska A / 2014-04-02 07:55:05

Yes, you do. If you really want only the exhibit title do this...

- move your exhibit to your "root" section (this one only has a / in the url)
- republish it
- move it back to whatever section it should appear under
- done

And THAT, is exactly why why urls are not auto-generated if you change the section path name. Now, you can have a url without the section path, living in any section you want. ;)
