I am trying to put some short video sequences on infinite loop next to still images in a horizontal scroll format. Is this possible? Also for the video to auto-play as I want to videos to look like still images for a time.

Horizontal, without all kinds of customization, can't do this.
I think it would be better for you to simply add your html to the text space to get exactly what you want. You can still upload the parts with our uploader, but use the No Show format and use the parts as you wish.
