Indexhibit Support

I don't know if someone already did this or not but I got shadowbox working with my site and I wanted to share the fast plugin edit I did off of thickbox

in index.php I just put
plug:front_lib_js />
plug:front_dyn_js />

close together don't know if it helps or not.

I just downloaded shadowbox and put the whole shadowbox folder into /ndxz-studio/site/js/

then just put the shadowbox CSS and resources folder into
/ndxz-studio/site/css/

I'm not a pro or anything this was done really fast I just love shadowbox and indexhibit

But updating jquery plugin to v.1.3.2 means that you're gonna loose only thickbox? Or the slideshow too?

Nah you don't lose anything its in Exhibition Format selection box thing of course you probably couldn't use all of them at once though I tried doing that and it broke the slideshow and thickbox.

Posting an image, i replace the link in the index.php to the one at vimeo but it's messy...

I'm starting my new website with indexhibit. (By the way thanks to all for sharing all this!)
I would like to know if someone have the Shadowbox plugin since the last post?
I've seen website with this plug, such as this one.
The bake3d's link doesn't work anymore !! and i can't found an other one!
I've also tried to download from the official website...but can't manage to make it "usable" since my knowledge in java/css/php are a kind of weak!

I can upload it if you really need this, although you could try searching the forum for the wobblebox which is an updated Thickbox implementation.

Hello, yes I changed my name, trying to get some stuff organized right now so been busy with some stuff.

Ugghh, sorry guys btw.

Basically the same rules apply to above, I did lose the plugin
(hard drive crash) so this is basically a redone plugin for you guys.

Let me know if it works BTW,

( I will not ever remove this file )

Place file / exhibit.shadowbox.php inside plugins.
Place folder / shadowbox ( /ndxz-studio/site/js )
Place files / shadowbox.css, resources ( /ndxz-studio/site/css )

Also in Exhibition Format place it as ( No Thumbs, No Captions )

Because you can't have any < p> inbetween the code it will automatically add those if you choose other ones.

I think the best way you can do that for now is to Switch to shadowbox exhibit format.
and then self add your video...

Well I realised that didn't work for videos I just tried it.

I've tried this code with:

"flv files" insered in a "video.swf":
< a href="video.swf" rel="shadowbox; height=xxx ;width=xxx"> video < /a>
= doesnt do anything.

For iframe:
< a href="http:www.website.com" rel="shadowbox; "> website< /a>
= the black shadow comes but nothing happen

For quicktime:
< a href="video.mov" rel="shadowbox; height=xxx ;width=xxx"> video quicktime < /a>
= same thing: the black shadow comes but nothing happen

Do i missed something?

Hi Makecg, I downloaded your shadowbox plugin and installed as you told in the readme file

"Place the shadowbox folder in these 2 sections.

(it is really the whole folder?)

But nothing works, the picture opens on a new site. Does anyone have an idea, what went wrong?

I don't understand what you mean.
This address uses shadowbox and it works fine on my computer.
Clear you browser cache and/or check the page in another browser.

Sorry, I found out that I have to add
plug:front_lib_js />
plug:front_dyn_js />
to my index file (that wasn't in the read me file).

Now it almost works, but I can't go further or back or stop the shadowbox with the little icons beneath. Anyone knwos why?

Sorry Arsondpi, somehow I didn't see your post when I wrote my last one. I cleared browser cache and checked the site in firefox and safari now. Still the same problem: the shadowbox opens, but then I can't go further with the buttons beneath. Furthermore the pictures are there twice now. I have no idea why. Does anyone have a helpful idea?

Hi there, it's me again. I'm still busy with this shadowbox plugin, sorry if these are silly questions, but I still don't know what to change or correct, to get the shadowbox working. It opens, but I can't go further or back with the icons.

any help: I've no experience at all with this plugin, but taking a look to your page code there are a few weird things I'd suggest you to clean up anyway (btw, did you try valdating your page?):
- there is a double call to /js/shadowbox/shadowbox.js
- something strange happening in your div #logo_topleft: the a href tag is splitted in two parts
- finally I'm impressed that your expandingMenu is working even if the lines
    expandingMenu(0);
    expandingMenu(1);
    expandingMenu(2);
    expandingMenu(3);
are not there, where they are supposed to be...

I redid the whole shadowbox plugin procedure, but it's still not working. I have no idea, where to look for the mistake. Any suggestions? I feel quite awkward asking this question again, but I'm still hoping for some advice...

i've installed the shadowbox plugin as outlined above and it seems to work fine when i use the image uploader. however, i want to have the text appear under the images in my gallery. also want to have a couple of videos embedded.

so, i'm trying to write the proper code to create my galleries, rather than use the image uploader. right now i can't get any thumbs to show up, only text links.
